About
Briana (she/her) is currently enrolled in the Professional Mental Health Counseling program (Licensed Professional Counselor track) at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in Portland, OR. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from the University of California, Davis. Briana has worked in the mental health field since 2019 across a range of levels of care, including inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient clinic settings.
Briana’s therapeutic approach is curious, collaborative, and strength-based. She draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She believes each individual possesses unique abilities, lived wisdom, and inner resilience, and she emphasizes understanding how relational dynamics influence current challenges. Committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and welcoming therapeutic relationship, Briana works collaboratively with clients using mindfulness, self-compassion, and values-based action, while honoring cultural background, social identity, and the strengths that have supported them along the way. 🌱
When she isn’t in class or at the farm, Briana enjoys cooking, crafting, attending concerts, thrifting, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her big, scruffy mutt, Maggie. 🐾
