About
Brittany (they/them) is a LCSW who supports clients with remember their sense of belonging – to themselves, to others, and to the Earth. Their journey to the mental health field began after working in wildlife biology and ecology for a number of years. They hold an MSW with a focus on working in Indigenous and Rural communities from Cal Poly Humboldt. Before coming to Heron Hill, Brittany worked in wilderness therapy with high-needs individuals and as a school social worker with K-12th grade students. They are a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in their Advanced year of training, Level 1+2 Brainspotting trained through Pacific Trauma Center, and Level 1 Ecotherapy trained by EarthBody Institute. Brittany’s practice is guided by transpersonal and humanistic psychology, with a focus on ecotherapy, somatics, trauma, attachment, mindfulness, spirituality, and grief/death work. Brittany also specializes in Ecological Grief and Anxiety. Their primary populations include members of the LGBTQIA+ and gender nonconforming community, as well as a range of people from teens to adults, families, grievers, historically marginalized communities, People of the Global Majority (BIPOC), namely Indigenous peoples, and anyone seeking to deepen their connection to themselves, their community, and the Earth.
