About
Kennedy Brooks is currently working towards their master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Ecotherapy Certification at Lewis and Clark College. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in English.
Kennedy’s practice is rooted in a cultural-relational, emotion-focused, and person-centered approach. She believes that therapy is a collaborative journey, one that recognizes the unique cultural, emotional, and personal experiences each person carries. Her beliefs are grounded in the understanding that interactions between individuals and nature can foster empowerment, compassion, and a profound healing space. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and connected—not only to themselves and their communities, but also to nature.
Before pursuing her graduate degree, Kennedy spent over three and half years working with horses, as a wrangler in Wyoming and at a therapeutic equestrian center in Oregon. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys backpacking, running, rock climbing, and surfing.
