About
I bring a natural optimism to my work, blending humor, deep empathy, and thoughtful analysis with a commitment to clear and transparent communication. My approach is shaped by over a decade in the social work field, where I witnessed both the impact of stress and the remarkable resilience of the people I worked with.
My perspective has also been influenced by two years of international travel studying permaculture and sustainability, which expanded my understanding of the many ways humans create culture and meet their needs. As an environmental activist, I worked to change building codes to legalize sustainable practices, strengthening my belief in the power of community members to shape the systems that affect their lives.
My clinical lens is rooted in nervous system awareness. Through my training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, along with years of personal therapy and study in neuroscience and attachment, I understand how deeply physiological responses shape our experiences, relationships, and overall well being. This work informs my commitment to helping clients build greater awareness, resilience, and choice in their lives.
As a mental health counseling intern at The Center at Heron Hill, I offer a collaborative and experiential approach that supports connection to self, others, and the natural world. I am dedicated to helping people develop a sense of agency and self determination in caring for their nervous system, relationships, and communities.
