About
Paige Cooper holds a Masters in Education with a Bachelors in Chemistry as well as Film/Media.
Paige has been working in Portland Public Schools as an educator since 2013, seeking ways to personally impact change through building trust and relationships to understand the personal and systemic barriers of each individual and help them navigate these challenges. Her involvement in public schools has provided a first-hand understanding of our shortcomings in supporting differently abled learners and she strives to empower students to recognize the strengths in their differences that don’t fit into the conventional education model.
Personal experience with grief has made working with grieving populations at The Dougy Center and Make A Wish a significant touchstone. Through this work, she has seen the profound impact of shared community in supporting those in the isolation of loss and trauma and the expression and growth achieved through play, art, nature, movement, music, reflection and meditative silence.
Paige enjoys spending time with loved ones on hikes/walks, exploring close by beaches and berry picking, pilates, art/crafting projects (currently bedazzling is an obsession), movies and discussing all things pop culture!
