About
Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope. ~ Maya Angelou
Rebecca brings a compassion-focused, nature-based, experiential and creative approach to her work with clients of all ages. She has specialized training in Child Parent Psychotherapy - an evidence-based approach to healing complex issues impacting young children and their caregivers. She also specializes in treating youth and adults experiencing grief, loss, trauma, chronic and acute illness/pain, mood disorders, and neurodivergence. Her life experiences with parenthood, grief/loss and caregiving for aging parents inform her practice and her connection with her clients. She continuously cultivates a special interest in supporting grievers including those experiencing traumatic grief, end of life, and eco-grief. She has experience in supporting young grievers and their caregivers through her work at the Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Families.

Rebecca understands that play is a window into the internal world of the child and that holistic healing occurs in emotionally attuned relationships. Her approach includes experiential and animal-assisted therapies that deepen each client’s awareness of and connection with themselves and their environment. She is passionate about the power of nature to awaken us to the present moment and spark the body's innate capacity to heal. She is honored to walk alongside her clients in open-hearted connection as they grow toward healing and vitality.
Rebecca has worked previously as a licensed teacher, a parent support coach, and an education policy advocate. She holds a B.S. in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University and advanced degrees in Public Policy, Special Education, and Professional Mental Health Counseling. She is currently working to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Rebecca enjoys hiking, camping, paddleboarding, yoga, dancing, gardening and baking.
